An awesome race to finish third by Emily, who ran at the Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights winning 8 state championships between cross country and track (if I recall correctly) and one NCAA championship while at Georgetown. She missed out on a world championship by just a couple of seconds. Also she is only like 24 so she has plenty of opportunity to repeat and improve on this performance. The US had all three runners in the top 6 which is pretty incredible.

Her older sister Maggie was also a great Ohio high school runner.
Molly Beckwith (Ludlow by marriage now) from Thomas Worthington HS is also competing in the World Championships in the 800 coming up in a couple of days.
