This article intimates at the cost cutting and the reality ESPN faces due to "cord cutters." While the number of viewers are still very strong, ESPN as well as other networks have to read the writing on the wall as far as the current format of purchasing entertainment. People are just tired of paying for channels they don't watch and if these numbers hold true over the next decade, there will have to be a radical change in delivery services for these companies to survive.
