Buckeye All-American Cam Tessari announced that he'll be signing to wrestle for the Hofstra Pride for the remainder of his collegiate career. Tessari was one of the "Monroeville Four" that won 4 high school state titles in Ohio's small-school division, alongside fellow Buckeyes Logan and Hunter Stieber and Chris Phillips.
Tessari was an All-American as a true freshman, finishing 4th at the NCAA tournament. He did not compete at the Big Ten Championships due to disciplinary reasons, thus not being unable to wrestle at the NCAA tournament.
While the reason for Tessari leaving tOSU is unknown to me, I must say that it was a pleasure to watch Cam wrestle for the Buckeyes. Here's hoping he finds a great deal of success wrestling for Hofstra with his remaining eligibility (2 years plus a redshirt season).
