Nothing new here; Ohio State Women's basketball beats Michigan on senior day as the Buckeyes net the Wolverines 66-55. The win brings the Buckeyes final record to 17-12 (7-9) with a 8th place finish in Jim Foster 11th season as the women's head coach. It also ensured Michigan doesn't get a first round bye in coming Big Ten Tournament spoiling the extra day of rest for Michigan. Graduating seniors include Tayler Hill who is a project first round WNBA pick* and would be Fosters 5th during his tenure at Ohio State and Emilee Harmon. Next up is the Big Ten Tournament (BTT) and possibly an berth in the NCAA tournament if we get selected. Great job lady Buckeyes and good luck in the BTT.
*Offtopic but typing this reminds me of my favorite player, now with the Phoenix Mercury, Samantha Prahalis. I miss her! :)
Tough for the Michigan women's team when they have to put 5 power forwards on the floor.
I watched the entire game, since I didn't wanna watch Bo Ryan Badgers, and Michigan team is very tall and they run a really good offense, using their quickness and athleticism to get their shooters open. Their new coach from St.John's has really improved the quality of their women's basketball team. They have a good recruiting class coming in too.
As for us, this was probably Foster worst year as the coach but after all his success, he's entitled to a down year or two. Hopefully, we can get back to the team we once were when we had players like Prahalis, Davenport and Lavender. I hope Foster doesn't retire as he's been coaching for quite some time now and has brought us several B1G titles and championships.
Don't ask me how I know this, there are just some sports I've followed at OSU since I was high school.

What Success? Foster has greatly under achvieved
Even though Foster teams haven't had the best run in the tournament, they have dominated the Big Ten over the last several years which includes three consecutive Big Ten titles and championships. And that's just a slice of the success he's had here! I would like to see us make it past the first round but it seems like even when we got a high seed and had good talent we were bounced out by the likes for Florida and Marist.
