Going to be tough sledding for the Buckeyes.
Hey, 10 seeded wrestlers is nothing to scoff at.
My best guess is that four of our wrestlers and up in the top three. My hopes are that they all have a great showing.
Edit: Unfortunately my predictions came close enough to being true. We had a couple end up in 4th. Congrats to the Stieber brothers! Both Bigten Champions!
Looking forward to the Steiber brothers wrestling...
In terms of the NCAA tournament, Dake/Taylor is gonna be the showcase.
Help is on the way.
I'm sorry I didn't really follow wrestling until this year. They've only wrestled once right?
Dake and Taylor?..no they have wrestled twice
12-OH
I know Dake won at the southern scuffle but who won the first one?
Dake won in overtime at an all-star meet.
Not really sure, I think it would be really crazy if Dake won against Taylor in the finals. Four NCAA titles in four different weight classes (I think).
Is Dustin Kilgore still at Kent?
Help is on the way.
The following teams have a wrestler seeded in every weight class:
If we were to add up the seeds to get a general "ranking" for each team, here are the results (note that a team gets a 12 for not having a seeded wrestler, effectively punishing the teams that do not have a solid full team):
If we don't punish the teams that are missing seeded wrestlers (creating a ranking based on the best wrestlers for the team), we get the following results:
Now what do these numbers mean? Probably not much, but the teams will most likely fall according to the first ranking as they have more wrestlers to get more points, especially in a 12-team tournament.
