Not sure how many other track/cc nuts there are out there, but I saw this online and noticed that in Jacob Burcham's room is a sign that says "#1 Buckeye Fan". With KD Robinson in charge of the mid-distance crew I think the Buckeyes have a good shot of getting this kid to tOSU.
For those that don't feel like clicking the link, Jacob Burcham from West Virginia ran a 4:02 mile as a Junior and has a legitimate shot at being the next sub-4:00 prep miler. West Virginia is not known to be a distance power so the upside is very high with this kid.

Would be great, I have never figured out why OSU doesn't have a better track team given the available resources. Jeff See was the top miler in HS too though, and while he had a solid career he didn't make a ton of progress. Rob Myers was really the last great OSU runner (unless you count Brian Olinger's one big race). Regardless I hope they can get him and continue to build their program.
Speaking of top caliber high schoolers from Ohio... Pained me to see OSU not reeling in kids like Sam Borchers (Penn State) and Zach Wills (Oklahoma State).

Any reason why Ohio State didn't go after Desmond Palmer? He is 2 time national champions 400 hurdler
Not sure about the Palmer situation. I've read online he wants to head south, but never specified as far as school names.

he goes to my school. he is signed to pittsburgh, but it never seemed like ohio state recruited him. He never seemed like he really wanted to go south. Florida offered him, but I don't think he was that interested
Bannon kidder from lancaster just went to Penn State. And he just won the 800 as a freshmen.
