Watching the Olympics I've seen a few USA athletes from tsun and I find myself rooting for them to lose...I just can't bring myself to root for them. What does everyone else think? Root For or Against?

lol come on dude, I think ur taking ur allegiance and loyalty a little too far, Lebron is the most phony athlete Ive ever "witnessed" but even I root for team USA.
Isn't Phelps a UM grad? I think he grew up in Baltimore though.

The 110 hurdles...2 Americans already qualified and the 3rd was from tsun...I found myself hoping he lost and he did...I guess I need an intervention.

It depends if the USA needs that athlete to win I'll root for them but like you said in the case of that third hurdles sprinter I rooted against him because it didn't hurt the USA's chances to win and Michigan still sucks

Phelps did go to Michigan. I don't think he ever competed for them, but he went to school there following his coach who got a job there. I think I remember hearing he was kind of an unpaid assistant or something like that.
Do whatever works for you. Have to laugh when people say you need to look at things this way or that way when rooting for teams/athletes, especially ttun. If you hate them, do it, if you don't want to root for them, don't. Whatever gets you through YOUR day and do not care what anyone else thinks. It's sports and this is America, damn it.
Umm this can't be serious. The Olympics are about 'Murica...
If a TSUN athlete competes for USA, I'll reluctantly root for them. If they compete for another country, all bets are off. I remember watching a runner from TSUN running for New Zealand, and hoped he fell on his ass.
