Skip to around 8:45 to hear the "announcement." Rothman calls it a major tournament, Nicklaus says "significant tournament." I can't find much else on it, but I do know the U.S. Open is booked through 2019, and they say "later this decade." My guess is it's the 2019 PGA Championship as that venue has yet to be determined according to the website.
Scioto Country Club, Jack's home course, is one of just 4 courses to host a U.S. Open, Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, and the U.S. Amateur Championship (as well as a U.S. Senior Open to boot) - all once each.
As a golf fan, this would be huge. Not only do we have the Memorial in town every year, we get the 2013 President's Cup, and hopefully just a few years later a major championship in town as well.
