With the recent beginnings of full squad spring training workouts, I was wondering who else in the 11W universe is a baseball nut? As a lifelong Columbus resident, I spent my summers going to Clippers games which led me to discovering the greatness of Don Mattingly (among others), and subsequently the greatness of the New York Yankees. With the advent of MLB Extra Innings, I can still watch roughly 100 Yankee games a year and while scanning the MLB Network's spring training tv schedule, it just got me wondering who else is anxiously awaiting the start of the season and which team you support?
To be sure, it's great to be a NYY fan since they are always in the hunt but after an off-season that failed to land Cliff Lee and saw Andy Pettitte retire, the lack of starting pitching has me a little scurred. Hopefully, Cash can pick up a starter at the deadline if Nova and Garcia can't hold down the 4 and 5 spots, which means I'm assuming Burnett will keep his ERA at a 3rd starter level. What can I say, I'm an optimistic guy.
