after reading the Austin Mack piece it brought up a question I have often wondered.

what is the purpose for a player to be a silent commit?

is it more so for the kids enjoyment to still get recruited?

the school to work with the kid to get other access to other schools tricks and whatnot?

what are the benefits of it?
