i was curious today following the non-get of Liam Eichenberg to see how UM3 has done in Ohio.
Starting with 2012--in which he did not have a full cycle--here are some the results. What I did was look at the number of 4* or 5* recruits in Ohio and then count how many of those signed with the good guys
2012: 22 --> 9 (including 8 of the top 14)
2013: 19 --> 7 (including 5 of the top 11)
2014: 15 --> 7 (including 7 of the top 11)
2015: 17 --> 7 (including 6 of the top 10)
and we're 5 of 11 in 2016 (and leading for 4 more) and 4 of 10 for 2017, almost 2 years in advance.
So there are a few big misses in there, but we have pretty much dominated the top 10 and took who we wanted of the 4* athletes available. Not too shabby, i think ;) No one else has taken more than 2 in any given cycle except ND, which got 3 in 2014, and meatchicken, which got 6 (!) in 2012 and 2013, including Dymonte Thomas, McCray and Charlton. But basically, after 2013 the ugly hats have been locked out (except for losing Ferns in 2014) mirroring the rise and fall of the Hokester.
