Looking back on the past recruiting classes of Ohio State, Oregon, and Alabama it was clear to me that Alabama has had consistently the bast recruiting classes in the past four years. Ohio State comes close behind them in recruiting classes, but Oregon doesn't get near the caliber of recruits it seems like as Alabama or Ohio State, yet Ohio State and Oregon are competing for the national championship. For example, Marcus Mariotta was a 3 star player in high school, similar to Joe Burrow, but ended up winning the Heisman, where as some 5 stars don't pan out. So I was wondering how much importance you place on how great of recruits we get?
