Jayson Stanley picked up an offer from Ohio State on Tuesday. Does the big-time wide receiver have a chance of landing in Columbus?
Kicking things off, the Buckeyes sent out a new offer on Tuesday to four-star receiver Jayson Stanley, who is also from the state of Georgia. Stanley is a bigger receiver, 6'2, 198 pounds and holds over 15 offers. Ohio State will have some ground to make up on some of the big-time SEC schools as the favorites at this point in time seem to be Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. Still, Urban Meyer should be able to sell him a chance to compete right away as an outside receiver and that kind of pitch is always enticing to recruits. Stanley should continue to be a hot name and gain offers as this is already his sixth one this month. If you haven't seen the film, check it out here.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Taking a look at some of the recent news tidbits and Ohio State scholarship offers issued by coach Urban Meyer and his staff:
• 2016 QB Dwayne Haskins Jr., Potomac (Md.) Bullis School – Though Rivals.com hasn't issued stars or a rating to Haskins, he's on track to becoming one of next year's elite dual-threat quarterbacks. A 6-foot-1, 182-pound prospect, Haskins has offers from Arizona State, Clemson, Florida, Maryland, Ohio State, Nebraska and others before his junior season.
