Will the Big Ten’s schedule changes cost it a future CFB Playoff spot?

I happened across this story earlier, and it seems to be pretty well founded in logic I must say.  Ohio State has proven itself mostly immune to the damning loss under Urban Meyer, but this article uses some statistics to show how much more difficult it will be for all B1G teams to traverse a 9 game schedule rather than an 8 game, assuming the non-conference game replaced was a smaller school that was expected to be a win.

The difference in winning percentage for every Big Ten team in non-con vs conference is a minimum 16.4% (OSU) to 49.9% (Minnesota).  As always, teams have to take care of business, but until reading this story I don't think I realized how much more daunting the task now is, particularly if you are anyone other than Ohio State.
