Three and out on the opening offensive possession but Gareon Conley picked off Watson's first pass attempt of the game to give OSU the ball with great field position. Unfortunately Durbin missed a 47 yard FG attempt to keep the game scoreless.
Clemson opened their second possession with a possible fumble that wasn't called/reviewed then hit Williams for 37 yards on 3rd down. Clemson is able to connect on a 45 yard FG to take a 3-0 lead.
Parris Campbell takes the ensuing kickoff to the Clemson 33 giving OSU great field position for the second straight possession. After picking up a first down, the offense got behind the chains and couldn't convert which set up another missed 47 yard FG from Durbin.
Clemson then puts together a 9 play 69 yard drive ending with a Watson rushing TD. PAT is good. This is no bueno.
Needing points, JT hits Bin Victor for a 1st down. But that's about it. Quarter ends with JT holding onto the ball looking for a receiver. 4th down coming up.
The difference is Clemson has a consistent passing game and we do not. Clemson made their FG attempt, we did not.
