So, Washington smashed Colorado. What did we really learn? Namely, the Buffs are pretty awful without Liufau (which we kinda knew from the Bitchagain & USC games). However, the score was impressive, and won the Huskies a Pac-12 title. The premise of this post is also going to assume a Clemson smashing of VaTech (30+).
If this happens, I could honestly see the rankings:
1)Alabama
2)Clemson
3)Washington
4)Ohio State
5)Oklahoma (assuming they smash fakeOSU)
6)Wisconsin/ Penn State
7) Bitchagain.
8)Whatever else...
Rationale: Ratings. Guarantee a Bama/OSU ratings bonanza. Guarantee a massive following making the title game. Mitigate the possibility of not cashing in on this matchup if a semi-final upset occurs. Also, the committee can further their apparent mission of recognizing conference titles, and taking the best 4 teams. The rankings I set (realizing some games have yet to be played) further both agendas. Thoughts?
Aside: I think the longer Urban has to plan for Bama, the better. That is the Scarlet-Glasses reason I want them in the semi-final.
