After the loss to Penn State, Buckeye fans around the country might be worried about their College Football Playoff hopes and many may feel like the season is lost but things may not be what they seem. Why do I feel that way, well just check out this nifty little fact that spun.com has dug up for us.

Ohio State’s chances at a national title are alive and well. Why? Because Urban Meyer has never won a national championship with an undefeated team. Meyer has three national championships under his belt. And all of them came with one loss on the season.

So the Buckeyes have suffered their "required" loss and have done it at a time on the schedule where they can rebound with some adjustments to a couple of key areas and still be in consideration for the CFP. Now all of this hinges on them winning out, but luck may be on their side since both of the remaining marquee match ups, against Nebraska and Michigan, are in Columbus this year.

So, for Buckeye fans worrying about their chances at another national championship, don’t. The biggest game of the season for Ohio State comes in its last regular season game against Michigan. If the Buckeyes win that game, they have a great shot at making the College Football Playoff.

Now no one is saying it's an easy task but just like Cubs fans will tell you, you just gotta believe baby!!
