If the College Football playoff were to be played right now, the matchups would be:
#1 Alabama vs. #4 Michigan
and
#2 Ohio State vs. #3 Louisville
I'm genuinely curious how we would feel about facing Louisville, especially with Lamar Jackson being the statistical beast with a cannon arm and quick feet. According to many people, we've tended to struggle with defending mobile quarterbacks in the past, so I'm curious how people think we would fare against one of the best in memory.
A little more on Jackson's stat line: through 4 games, he is completing 58% of his passes for 332.5 yard per game and 13 touchdowns through the air. He also has an average of 131.5 yards per game on the ground with 12 rushing touchdowns.
DISCLAIMER: Just so people know, this isn't a prediction as to what I think will happen. Who knows if either team would even be in the playoff? I would hope our Buckeyes make it, but they have a long way to go. This is just supposed to be more of an interesting "what if" scenario to discuss.
Have a great Friday, everyone! It's Rutgers Eve!
Go Bucks.
