Hey Kids,
Was just thinking about coaching legend match-ups and what will be on the field Saturday. We all know Urban's credentials, but Stoops isn't too shabby:
- 2000 & 2003 coach of the year
- 5x B12 coach of the year
- 9x B12 championships
- 1x national championship
- 180-47 career record (shamelessly from wikipedia)
- 79.3% winning %
- Career coaching wins leader @ OU
- I would also argue bringing OU back into prominence and consistently keeping them there
We've been blessed somewhat recently with direct coaching legend match-ups (e.g. Paterno-Bowden, Tressel-Brown, Urban-Saban, and of course Tressel-Rodriguez).
My question for y'all is where will this game and these legends rank when we look back and speak of this match-up to our grandchildren?
