Wow. I'm really upset that it took me 5 years to get to my first FNL. Dare I say it, but I enjoyed this more than the Spring Game, which says a lot. What an awesome, intimate atmosphere with current, past and future Buckeyes and staff. I'll be back every year if I can. Now, on to my numerous observations.
- Danny Clark - Please don't DV me for this, but I had secretly been hoping (even afraid to mention it to myself internally) that he would decommit. But I'm glad he hasn't. I love the way he drops back. He has great presence, stands tall and releases the ball very quickly. Tight, accurate spirals and the heart of a true competitor.
- Tyjon Lindsey - While I hope he ends up a Buckeye, sadly, his time in Columbus will be short lived once the NCAA realizes he is powered internally by pure rocket fuel. My God, what a fast kid. He very, very clearly stood out.
- Josh Meyers - Not only is he a #937 boy, but I don't see anyone making their way past him. Might as well get rid of the QB pads and helmets, don't think they'll be needing them.
- Nick Bosa - Ran into him (thankfully not literally) walking into the Shoe on my way in. Impression: it would cause great discomfort to be hit by him at full force.
- Branden Bowen - Large.
- Binjimen Victor - Long.
- Kerry Coombs - Loud.
- Mick Marotti - I told my trainer once that I would love to work out with him for a single day. I recant this statement. The man is terrifying. In the best way.
- Stacy Elliott - That's one icy ass bracelet you've gotten since your son has been drafted. Props.
- Austin Mack - Keep on 'crootin, young man.
- Jonathan Cooper - Love the kid, but I'm sad that ancient Californian Redwoods had to lose their botanical lives to construct his arms.
- Stadium Mustard - you might resemble baby shit, but the beautiful music you make with a $4 Ohio Stadium hotdog gives anything Mozart ever wrote a strong run for its money.
