I re-watched the Sugar Bowl game vs Alabama last night and the two guys that stood out to me both were lost to broken legs last year. I noticed Corey Smith being an absolute animal in kick off coverage. Noah Brown had a jet sweep.. and while it went for a loss he stiff armed Reggie Ragland to the ground before other defenders arrived.
We have all seen the blocks vs Wisconsin and Michigan from Corey Smith.
Noah Brown also man handled Darron Lee in a circle drill in Spring or Fall camp last year.
I have a feeling that these two along with Marcus Baugh at TE are going to smash fools all season long. If Torrance Gibson, Parris Campbell, Austin Mack and the other WRs and TEs take notes from these two we are going to do well in the run game. The type of attitude Corey and Noah bring to the table could be key to shaping the offense. I know Pat Elflein will have command of the SLOBS. Can't wait to see these guys hit some people.
