Early 2016 season predictions:

After losing most of our key players to the NFL draft, Ohio State will be one of the most inexperienced teams in the country in 2016. The best returning players will be QB JT Barrett and linebacker Raekwon McMillan. Our offensive line should get going after a couple of games, and will probably be one of the best by the end of the season. Because of the lack of experience and our great 2016 recruiting class, we will probably see a lot of playing time for freshmen, since 45 of our 85 players are either freshmen or redshirt freshmen. JT will be our team MVP, and will finish 3rd in Heisman voting. Deshaun Watson of Clemson will win the trophy at the end of the season. Our best breakout player will be wide receiver Corey Smith, a senior who was granted an extra year of eligibility because of an injury. Our defensive MVP will be lineman Tyquan Lewis. We have one of the hardest schedules in the country this year, which will make it hard to get into the playoff. We will win our first 7 games, including key wins over top 5 Oklahoma, and Penn State and Wisconsin on the road, as well as squeaking by Indiana in a close home game. By this point we will be number 2 in the country, second to only Clemson. Our first loss of the season will be a home upset to 25th ranked Northwestern. Reynoldsburg’s very own Mark Gooden will force a fumble on JT in the final seconds to win the game. We will come back and dominate our final 5 games, including a blowout of Michigan State, and a win in a rematch against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship. We will make it into the playoff at 12-1 ranked number 2. We will beat number 3 Baylor in the semi-final, then lose to Alabama in the final as they take a second straight national title.

Team Superlatives:

MVP: JT (2nd team All-American, 2900 passing yards, 700 rushing yards, 42 touchdowns)

Offensive MVP: Pat Elflein (1st team all-American, 1st round draft pick)

Defensive MVP: Tyquan Lewis: (36 tackles, 18 TFL, 10 Sacks)

B1G final rankings: East: OSU, Michigan, Penn State, MSU, Maryland, IU, Rutgers

West: UW, Northwestern, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Minnesota, Purdue
