Today's Buckeye Highlight of the Day is brought to you by phenom David Boston, as he puts the icing on a 72-0 whipping of Pittsburgh. With the game winding down and the good guys sitting on a 65-0 lead, Pitt is forced to punt for the eleventy millionth time in the game.
With only 8 men on the field, just 7 blockers, Boston fields the punt and does this...
In 1996, Boston was a true freshman who had already earned a starting role. He finished this day with 3 TD's, including 2 others receiving. In fact, on this day, Boston scored every time he touched the ball.
Boston went on to have an illustrious Buckeye career, holding the school record for total receiving yards at 2,855. A record broken in 2003 by fellow Buckeye great, Malcolm Michael Jenkins. Throughout his career, Boston averaged nearly 6 points per game and a total of 36 touchdowns.
This 1996 Buckeyes team finished the season 11-1, it's only loss coming at the hands of UM and ending with a Rose Bowl win over Arizona State.
