Watching Tom Herman do his thing makes me think of all time great assistant coaches at The Ohio State University. 

1. Jim Tressel - won a national title for the good guys and is in the College Hall of Fame

2. Tom Herman - hasn't won a title yet as a head coach but did help Urban win won for the good guys last year. Will win one hopefully for the Buckeyes someday or probably one for Texas someday.

3. Lou Holtz 

4. Hate saying this one but have to have Bo on this list. 

5. Nick Saban - hate to say it but he's good.

6. Earle Bruce

7. Mark Dantonio - was D coordinator for 2002 Buckeye National champion. Lived in my hometown when he was first born before growing up a few miles away in Zanesville.

8. Glenn Mason had a solid career as offensive coordinator at OSU and a solid head coaching career.
