So last night didn't go as planned and for obvious reasons I was upset.  Ever since the Michigan State loss I've tried to justify for what I was feeling and I keep coming back to one point which I think it is important to remember. 

We were never expected to win a second title.  Statistically it damn near never happens.  Sure everyone picked us and maybe a large majority of the fan base expected to repeat but I can say with full confidence I did not expect it.  Call me a fake fan or what have you but I understood just how hard it was to do.  Now, I did expect us to at least make the playoffs and since we didn't meet that goal I am a bit let down but I think it is important to keep expectations in line with reality.  

I'm praying we land in the Rose Bowl and wax Stanford.  Regardless, we are watching one of the greatest coaches coach our team and we should enjoy the ride.
