I expected us to be ranked #9 and behind Oklahoma State, but when I saw that we were #8 and Okie State was somehow at #11, I got to thinking about if there was a shot we could get in at 11-1 with no Big Ten East title. I started with the assumption that it was impossible, but that may not be true. Consider the following:

We beat Michigan.

Stanford beats Notre Dame in Palo Alto and eliminate the Irish at 10-2.

Texas Christian OR Texas beats Baylor and eliminate the Bears at 10-2.

Nebraska AND Michigan State beat Iowa and eliminate the Hawkeyes at 11-2.

Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma and eliminate the Sooners at 10-2.

The question then becomes: Does the committee take an 11-1 Ohio State over an 11-1 Oklahoma State as the four seed behind Bama, Clemson and Sparty, even though Okie State would be Big 12 Champions? That probably wouldn't be exactly fair, but I have a hunch that it may happen. Any thoughts?
