That poor running game now has Barrett actually behind Jones in yards per carry on designed runs. Barrett is averaging 6.4 yards per carry on designed runs (60 for 382), while Jones is averaging 7 yards (34 for 239).

It's not a big difference, but interesting. It's more telling of Ohio State's offensive struggles than anything else. Barrett is still the better runner, that's pretty clear.

But maybe Jones isn't as bad at running the ball as we all thought.

Makes you think, for sure.
