Tressels, Fickells and Urbans,

We've been waiting a long time for this...and not just since early September.

Yes, finally Ohio State faces a gauntlet of tough opponents for as long as this run will take us after a hum-hum schedule up to this point.  This is when it gets good.

But, we've really been waiting since early 2007.

Finally, Big Ten football takes center stage.  The fault line for College Football runs right through Columbus this weekend.

The epicenter shifted away from the Midwest when Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators wiped out the Buckeyes in the 2006 National Championship game following the #1 OSU vs. #2 Michigan "game of the century."

We've slogged through years of mediocre Big Ten competition...and national coverage of teams mostly in the Southeast and West coast.  The Big Ten has been nearly invisible.

This weekend, ESPN Gameday is back in Columbus for the first time since 2010...all the hoopla is ramped up.  The Big Ten conference has turned the tide and become much more interesting ever since the big bowl game victories last season.  And, the attention is justified.  NFL scouts from 19 teams will be in Ohio Stadium this weekend evaluating players that could comprise a record-setting haul for one team in a draft.  It's our last chance to see the seniors at home, but many juniors may head to the NFL, too - Bosa, Zeke, Cardale, Apple, Lee, Thomas and Bell.

I'm not sure if Ohio State is 9 units strong this season, but all the defensive units are playing at a very high level right now...and the Buckeyes have the best defensive player (Bosa) and best offensive player (Zeke) in all of College Football.

As we get late into the season in the Midwest and temperatures fall, I'll take a stout defense and strong running game.  That might be enough.

We've been waiting a long time for this...the 2015 Buckeyes have the potential to be an outstanding team.  The stage is set.  It's time to finish out the season with no regrets.

Touchdowns:  Zeke, Zeke, Zeke, Thomas, Braxton

OSU 35 MSU 13

Go Bucks!  Beat MSU!  Josh Perry for Heisman!
