Ohio State beat Northern Illinois.

Northern Illinois beat Toledo.

Toledo beat Arkansas.

Arkansas beat Ole Miss.

Ole Miss beat Alabama.

Alabama beat LSU.

Therefore, using six degrees of separation, there is proof that Ohio State is better than Alabama and LSU.  (Yes, the fact that Alabama beat Arkansas is being ignored; but if the committee can ignore the Alabama loss, then I can ignore one of the Alabama wins.)
