Luke Kuechly all pro linebacker for Carolina Panthers was born in Cincinnati and played high school @ St Xavier and for Boston College. Did Buckeyes attempt to recruit any history? Thanks! ~Topdoc
Topdoc,
As you stated Luke Kuechly (.857 / 3 star) played high school football at St. Xavier in Cincinnati and was a member of Boston College's 2009 recruiting class. Some other schools that pursued Kuechly per 247sports.com were: Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Michigan State and Stanford.
An interesting note in Kuechly's recruitment is that Kerry Coombs was in charge of getting him to play for the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Remy -- Easy question - Do you strictly use the internet only to research or do you have any reference manuals? If so which ones? ~Seattle Linga
Seattle Linga,
The internet is incredibly fast and useful. However, there are times when I can't find what I need on the interwebz. When that happens I turn to several older Ohio State Media Guides, Jack Park's Ohio State Football Encyclopedia and the ESPN College Football Encyclopedia.
Since it looks like Mike Weber will be Redshirted this year, hopefully this is a stat we will be looking at all next year. Most Rushing yards for a Freshman at OSU. I expect Griffin, R. Smith, and Clarett are at the top, but didn't know if I am forgetting someone. ~NASHBUCKEYE
NASHBUCKEYE,
There is a new player in the top 3. This Buckeye played in 2014. A little tricky since J.T. Barrett is a quarterback, but he comes in at the No. 3 spot. Below you will find the top 10 rushing yards by freshmen.
Note: This is not the official list. I only looked up the freshman stats of players who led the Buckeyes in rushing since 1970. I could not find freshman stats for Rick Galbos. If I forgot a player, please let me know.

How has the offense played this year vs last year using only common opponents. Yards per game, TD, passing, rushing, explosive plays, sacks given, TFL etc. Common opponents should help make this manageable (PSU, VT, IU, RU) and possibly eye opening. ~FitzBuck
With the loss of Mensa man Tom and the rotating quarterbacks many believe Ohio State's offense has struggled in 2015. However, the numbers against like opponents show the Buckeyes have improved in yards per game, touchdowns, passing yards and rushing yards compared to 2014. I did not have the time to look up sacks allowed and tackles for loss, sorry.
