We hear it every week from Meyer that "This guy is very close" which I believe sometimes is just him giving credit to a player who is working hard even if he has no intentions of actually playing him. But with todays news of Campbell and Dixon being out and Dontre questionable, this has to be the week we see KJ Hill enter the game. Even if he isn't productive, getting game reps this year would be more helpful in my opinion than saving his redshirt.
We will lose Braxton/Smith/Thomas next year so that leaves us with Marshall/Wilson/Samuel as the only receivers with meaningful game reps and none of which are true receivers. Noah Brown will likely take over one of the spots, but it would be great to get some of these young guys going now. I would love to see Gibson out there but It seems like he might have ruined his own chances of that happening.
