I was watching ESPN's review of the B1G this year and Tom Luginbill said something that just doesn't sit right for me. He said that the B1G is a quarterback driven conference and the other talking heads at the table agreed with him.
Wow, have I been watching the wrong conference for the last 40 years? I know the B1G has had some great quarterbacks over the years; Tom Brady at _ichigan, Drew Brees at Purdue, Troy Smith, I could go on and on. QBs are clearly important as they touch the ball and influence the game on every snap. But I think the B1G has been and remains a Runningback Driven conference. I think the ground game is so critical in the B1G that the vast majority of QBs in the conference need to have a bit of a runningback in their toolkit to be really successful, aka Braxton Miller. Am I wrong?
