We all know we're in a golden age of Ohio State football, apart from the 2011 season.

But it's interesting to consider how rare that is.  For instance, here are former national powerhouse schools that have fallen in to general mediocrity during our golden era of Tressel/Meyer:

Miami
Florida
Texas
USC
*ichigan
Penn State
Notre Dame

That's pretty staggering.  Some of these teams are on the rise again and other teams have come into the picture recently (Alabama, Michigan State, etc.) but the Buckeyes' record of success since 2001 is incredible.  

I think one could make a similar case for Oklahoma with Bobby Stoops perhaps, but we're lucky folks.
