There is a great article in the The Columbus Dispatch today about Meyer's resume stacking up nicely against the best ever college football coaches. Currently, he is fourth all time in win percentage at .845 (for coaches with at least ten years of FBS coaching). Also, only four coaches have won more national championships since 1936. Herbstreit is quoted as saying that if Meyer is able to continue for several more years he may have a chance at greatest of all time. Which leads to my question:

Is it possible for Urban Meyer to go out on top? What will it take? His current stats: 142-26 , .845, 3 titles. For comparison, Bear Bryant: 323-85-17, .780, 5 titles. I think Meyer could possibly get 5 titles and he owns a better win percentage, but he obviously will never reach 323 wins. In all likelihood Meyer will not coach long enough to be considered the greatest of all time. Unless he keeps stacking championships.
