All week long I have been hearing all the talkers on ESPN say that OSU's defense may not be able to keep up with the Duck's tempo, and that Oregon scores in bunches. Well, TBDBITLBuck's post in the round table article showed Oregon to run 2. 2 plays more per game than the Bucks. I calculated Oregon to run 1.25 more plays per quarter than the OSU defense has seen all year long. BFD.
So, I started perusing the NCAA statistics, to see how many teams run more plays per game than Oregon, and I stopped counting after 20.
THE NUMBER OF PLAYS PER GAME THEY RUN IS NOT UNUSUAL. So, even though Mariota may slice us up like bacon Monday, their tempo IS NOT OUT OF THE ORDINARY.
What am I missing?
