"[sic] is really probably the most improved team in the country in terms of if you want to compare from last year to this year," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "They've really played very, very well all season long, had a great chance to beat [sic], came up a little short in the end."

If you think he's talking about Ohio State, you'd be mistaken.  If you think he meant that we came up a little short against VaTech at the end, you'd be wrong.  He's talking about another team that was on a streak.  It is amazing how wins and losses become relative to the narrative of a story. 

He was speaking of Arkansas, in the throes of what would end up being a 17-game conference losing streak that spanned three seasons. But, it occurred to me that Arkansas quite possibly received more credit for going nearly three seasons without a conference win as Ohio State has for going three seasons without a conference loss. (The BCG last year is considered a post season game, thus not a conference loss.)

Just a thought, in case anyone is bored during this long layoff, or needed another reason to mock Bret Bielema dislike Nick Saban. 

Although he who laughs last, laughs longest, remember Ohio State escapes, while others pass tests.
