Stuffed

Gordon rushed for 76 yards and average 2.9 yards per carry.

Another week and another opponent gets its stats stuffed.

The Buckeyes won their first Big Ten Championship Game in convincing fashion 59-0 over Wisconsin. The impressive victory earned the Buckeyes a spot in the College Football Playoff.

How did Ohio State fare on the statistical scoreboard? Total domination.

It's always interesting to see how a team's stats change after playing Ohio State. Like most teams this season, Wisconsin took the biggest hits in the defensive categories. The Buckeyes gashed the Badger's defense for 558 total yards. That is 297.7 yards above their average. Ohio State gained 301(+197.7) by air and 257 by ground (+100.4).

The Ohio State defense turned in their best performance of the season. Melvin Gordon saw his Heisman hopes go down in flames. The Buckeyes held the Badgers to 71 yards rushing. That is a mind-blowing 263.3 yards below Wisconsin's average.

Another telling stat is Ohio State's passing efficiency. The Badgers came in with the 8th ranked pass efficiency defense at 104.9. The Buckeyes passing attack earned a 203.1 rating. That is pretty good performance, especially against a unit that was ranked that high.

Below you will be able to compare Wisconsin's stats before playing, and after playing, Ohio State.
