I posted this in an offensive scheme article about a week ago, but now it's even more relevant with JT going down. The base of the Offense obviously doesn't change much. The bread and butter is the IZ with Zeke and Samuel, constrained by the jet sweep and the flash screen. NONE of this has to change with Carlos' insertion into the lineup.
These are the essential staples of the Tom Herman offense, and they're completely manageable by Jones. However, JT Barrett was such an efficient passer from the pocket that double move route patterns were added along with design rollouts. Those I don't think Cardale will run as efficiently, but he can do other things well. I imagine we'll see a lot of the jet sweep with Cardale being the inside option.
What else do you guys think Tom Herman will change to better adapt to CJ's strengths?
