This may be a stretch, but it's merely to show that perhaps Cardale isn't so bad. Against Illinois (now a bowl eligible team) one could argue that Cardale Jones actually outplayed J.T. Barrett. 5/9 passing for 82 yards and two touchdowns, along with 47 yards rushing on seven carries. Compare that to 15/24 167 yards and 2 touchdowns for J,T. along with 7 carries for 37 yards. That, along with Cardale's bruising running style is enough to sell to me that he is a perfect fit in the Urban Meyer offense, which is surely to be QB run heavy and with fly-sweeps, plenty of read looks and bubble screens sprinkled in. Perhaps I'm just optimistic.
