Some people wonder why Urban has had "so many top-5 recruiting years yet hasn't won a national championship.  Well let's take a quick look using Rivals rankings.

2011 - This year's seniors came from an 11th ranked class.  Good but not the epic talent.

2012 - 4th in the nation class of Juniors, so why aren't we just trashing everyone with this talent?  The top 5 names on that class are Noah Spence (suspended), Adolphus Washington, Joey O'Connor (transferred), Se'von Pittman (transferred), and Tommy Schutt.  When you take into account that 3 of the top 5 players of this class aren't even on the team you can hardly consider this class a top-5 class anymore.

2013 - 2nd in the nation but the class is young, red-shirt freshmen and sophomores.  This class also had turnover losing cornerstone recruit 5-star Mike Mitchell before his career even began.  Despite this check out the names:  Joey Bosa, J.T. Barrett, Vonn Bell, Ezekiel Elliott, Jalin Marhall, Eli Apple, Dontre Wilson, and Darron Lee.  This is the first real "top 5" class Ohio State has had and even as sophomores and red shirt freshmen these guys are blowing away the competition.  This is what a real top-5 class looks like.

2014 - A top-3 class of guys we've barely seen yet.  But if Raekwon McMilland and Curtis Samuel are any indication, this class' talent is living up to its billing.  If this class pans out it will contribute as much talent as 2013.  Imagine that, an Ohio State team with double the talent of the 2013 class.

2015 - Still in progress but with so many 4 and 5 star players signed and visiting the campus this looks like another top-5 class.  Imagine the talent we see this year out of the 2013 and add yet another doubling of that talent.

So to imagine what the future looks like for the Buckeyes you have to understand that the talent we're playing with this year is one top-5 class and a couple top-20 classes of talent on the field.  So if Urban takes talent like that to the Big 10 game and a shot at a nation championship just imagine how insane this team is going to be in 2015-2016 when you take the talent that exists on the field today and triple it.
