If FSU is undefeated, and Winston gets the book thrown at him in the hearing and gets expelled, cannot play in the ACC Championship game, but still manages to win the ACC Championship thus remaining undefeated, Does FSU have a claim to be in the playoff?

I say no, FSU cannot make the playoff. 1) they would have effectively used an ineligible player all year. 2) They likely would have had more than 2 losses without him in the lineup as he was a difference maker for the season and 3) there is some precedence that needs to be set to encourage schools to be vigilant on this type of activity and not keep sweeping it under the rug and then dealing with the consequences when nobody cares years later.
