Uneven Schedules

I read this story on Yahoo about the B1G having 14 teams now and the top teams in the conference cannot face each every regular season. I do really wish that we had played Nebraska and Wisconsin this year during the regular season. Winning those games would surely help our ranking. I really hated the easy schedule this year. Hopefully with the 9 game B1G schedule coming soon it will allow us to play a little tougher competition when we play across divisions. Here are a quotes from the article and a link...

With the addition of Maryland and Rutgers this season, the Big Ten now has two seven-team divisions, and there's no way for everyone in the league to play everyone else. Instead, each team plays only two opponents from the other division, meaning some of the league's top teams won't necessarily face each other.

...

Contrast that with the Big 12, in which each team plays all nine of its conference rivals. Teams like TCU and Baylor don't have to worry about missing a chance to earn a quality win.

and a funny quote from Jerry Kill...

"We had a good win against Iowa (last weekend), and then you go home, you get a little bit of time," Kill said. "And then you watch the Michigan State-Ohio State game. And then you don't sleep."

So what do you guys think about the schedules? Wisconsin doesn't have to play us rendering them a pretty good advantage over Minnesota and Nebraska. How could the schedules be more even?? Or is this just one of those types of schedules that we will only see every so often?
