Offense:
We have to keep them off balance. The whole playbook must be available. JT needs some easy throws early to get some confidence. Jet sweeps by Dontre and/or Jalin must be part of the Offense. If JT is healthy enough, he is great at the Read Option and that must be part of the gameplan. Our MENSA O-Coordinator could go a long way to getting a HC job by shredding the Spartans D tomorrow night.
Defense:
Starts with the D-line being dominant and that is a MUST for a win vs. MSU. I do not think MSU will be effective early running the ball, so Connor Cook will be the key to their Offense early. I think you let the Front 4 put pressure on him which lets you play all kinds of different coverages in the secondary. The NY Giants beat an undefeated Patriots team in the Super Bowl by having a dominant D line that hit Brady repeatedly because he couldn't get the quick passes off because of tight coverage. The more the QB gets hit, the less effective they are. The OSU D line has the potential to play this role tomorrow.
Special Teams:
Keep on keeping on with Kick Coverage and Great Punting this year! May need PK to make FG tomorrow. NO MISSES!
Prediction: JT steps up and plays a solid game, Ash/Herman out-coach Warner/Narduzzi, and OSU reclaims rightful place at top of Big 10 in a 27-17 win.
One more thing: Go Sooners, LSU, K State, ASU, and UTES!
