The playoff committee will more than likely have an issue with the BIG12 down the road.  Right now, both TCU and Baylor have one loss.  Based on their remaining schedules, I expect both will run the table:  TCU plays #9 KSU, @Kansas, @Texas, and Iowa State.   Baylor plays @#18 Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, #9 Kansas State.  I dont see KSU being able to score with TCU in Ft Worth and they will roll over Kansas, Texas and Iowa State.  Baylor's only tough game left is next week against #18 Oklahoma (once again, KSU will not be able to score with them).  If they both win out, Baylor would be the BIG12 champ due to the fact that they beat TCU head to head.  Problem is that TCU is ranked #7 by the CFB committee and Baylor is ranked #13.  If both win out, TCU would have a better chance of making the playoff even though Baylor would be the BIG12 champ.  That would be a mess.  How do you leave out a conference champ and put in the team that the conference champ beat head to head??  The current playoff format is a joke, but maybe this would be a catalyst to go to a 6 or 8 team playoff where a true champion could be crowned.  Also, no way a BIG champ would get in over the BIG12 champ if TCU ran the table.  TCU has beaten #4 Oklahoma, #15 Oklahoma State, and #20 West Virginia while only losing to #5 Baylor on the road.
