I'm a little surprised that the point spread in the OSU at PSU game opened as low as -11.5 and is still just -13.
I realize that PSU has a solid defense; that the "white out" crowd for this night game will be jazzed up, especially with it being James Franklin's debut as head coach in this "rivalry" series; and that Hackenburg is projected to be a future 1st round NFL draft choice.
But PSU's OL looks to be a sieve. Two tantalizing stats: PSU is 116th in sacks allowed per game (3.33 sack per game) and 118th in rushing yards per game = 93.2 yards per game (2.84 yards per rush). When teams with those types of fundamental weaknesses run into a "power" team that's loaded with dynamic athletes, that's usually a scenario that will make the "wiseguys" salivate.
Then again, I'm not a wiseguy.
