With Braxton being gone for the season, JY Barret is thrown right into the fire. Just days before Braxton's injury, Barrett was suddenly praised as a leader and was given the number "2" job over Cardale. But, with that, both Cardale and Jt are prepared to play this season. But thinking back to a couple of years ago when TP was suspended, Braxton was thrown in the fire. Now, Stephen Collier who was bound for a sure redshirt is our number 3 quarterback and is actually our back up if JT or Cardale gets injured. If they don't that is perfectly fine and Collier can redshirt without a doubt. If one does go down, even with a minor sprain, Collier will be forced to warm up on the sideline. And thinking ahead a year, let's say Braxton does come back, he is now the #4 qb on the roster again. We are also expecting Joe Burrow to come in and challenge for a backup role and possibly TG. A year from that we will likely have Dwayne Haskins, Juwan Pass, Malik Henry, or some other highly ranked QB coming in. The next year we have superstar and Ohio prodigy Danny Clark. In this game, nothing is given and he could definitely find himself in the driver seat in a couple of years, but this situation may have some hinderance of his development.
