Bates-Diop is averaging 9.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and is arguably the Buckeyes' best defender.
Bates-Diop already missed five games this season with a high ankle sprain suffered against Providence. He has played in Ohio State's previous six games, however, and played 25 minutes in Sunday's loss at Illinois. Bates-Diop had six points and eight rebounds against the Illini.
