OK, it's no shock when we say that the Bucks need the top three teams in the country to lose, and fast. But let's look at what is plausible. This week Florida state plays an undefeated Miami team. Should Miami beat them, does anyone honestly believe they wouldn't jump Ohio State? I mean it's gotta be the popular belief at this point. if an undefeated top ten team beats a top three team you'd have to think they slide into the top three.
Then what about Stanford? If they beat Oregon this week, even with a loss, could they jump Ohio State if Ohio State is undefeated? I'd like to say no, but it's tough to argue with what a massive accomplishment it would be for Stanford to win that game given the road Oregon has paved so far.
Thankfully Bama's toughest two games are still ahead. They have LSU, and Auburn on the slate. They'll most likely win, but those are for sure going to be upset alert games.
It's not impossible, but the waters continue to get murky. Still have to enjoy what we've been given. A massive win streak, excellent recruiting, and an incredible football atmosphere. I'm coming around with the idea of going to the rose bowl against a Stanford, or maybe a UCLA or something, that would still be very enjoyable. But we all know Ohio State fans want the crystal.
