I was reading 11W and someone astutely pointed out that 63-14 was the exact score PSU beat OSU by in 1994. That immediately led me to link the 2013 OSU season and the 1994 PSU season.
If you recall that season PSU went undefeated and had the most explosive offense I can remember - until the last couple years. They scored 56, 38, 61, 55, 48, 31, 63, 35, 35, 45, 59 and 38 points, numbers that at the time were unheard of, even today they are pretty awesome. You'll remember they were ranked #1 for one week before getting dropped behind UNL because they didn't have enough style points after beating Purdue. Sound familiar? You'll also remember they played #12 Oregon in the Rose Bowl and finished #2 in the final season rankings. A fate 2013 OSU could share.
Many college football fans hate the BCS, I remember when clear number 1 and 2 did not play each other. I think it has served admirably in it's intended role, simply getting #1 vs #2 to play in January. As many of you know only once have we had a BCS conference team not play in the BCSCG, Auburn 2004. I'm praying we aren't left with the empty feeling PSU fans were in 1994, and unfortunately we need help. Obviously everything is predicated on OSU being unbeaten, and I'm sure everyone here will root for the good guys. So I've put together a list of games Buckeye fans may want to watch which may have a very direct impact on insuring we don't live with the feelings PSU has had since 1994.
I expect it to all work out, Go Bucks.
I only considered teams I thought would be ranked ahead of us if they won out (Alabama, Miami, Oregon, FSU).
