Anyone who's confused about why this targeting rule is being enforced should be watching the Bears-Redskins game. It's been filled with cheap, dirty launches from defenders towards player's heads, trying to knock guys out. The result is bad tackling, penalties, and hurt players. There are a lot of calls that are tough (incidental, movement of body, etc.), but these and many I've seen recently are not. Coaches need to coach and insist on better tackling.
